What You Made Possible This Thanksgiving Holiday
We wanted to share with you a snapshot of what you made possible for thousands of our neighbors in Mecklenburg Co.
Thanksgiving turkey distributions began Wednesday, November 16th and continued until our last pantry closed at 6:00 Wednesday, November 23.
Each number below represents a neighbor, like Veronica and Noel pictured above, who will have a full plate this holiday thanks to your generous support.
- 4,560 individuals served through our pantries and grocery home deliveries.
- 2,876 individuals served through pop up food shares.
- 356 recipients served through regular daily meal delivery (2,139 meals) plus 93 who needed additional holiday meals.
Total Neighbors served: 7,985
In addition to food, we provide friendship, dignity and hope. That love was on full display to the 7,486 calls our team fielded in just the last seven days—unbelievable!
It is difficult to express the profound amazement and appreciation we have for each and every one of you who tirelessly give your time, energy, treasure and talents in whatever way needed to further our cause—you are the magic of our mission!
