The 6th Annual Tour de Turns and Shade Tree Festival is Helping Turn the Corner on Local Hunger

Register today for the 6th annual Tour de Turns and Shade Tree Festival, Saturday, August 26 at Carmel Road Neighborhood Park. This original and unique benefit bicycle ride winds through beautiful tree-lined South Charlotte neighborhoods offering 15, 25, 37 and 62 mile routes. Tour de Turns is for all skill levels and includes events for kids, live music by the Natty Boh Duo, lunch and a craft beer garden provided by Heist Brewing.


Cycling options include: 

  • 15, 25, 37 & 62 mile routes (all within a 6 square mile area!)
  • Youth Cycolcross Clinic and Mini-Race
  • Kids Closed Loop Course/Bike Rodeo by Bikin” Dads Adventures

Tour de Turns aims to turn the corner on local hunger by benefiting Loaves & Fishes, a network of 23 emergency food pantries located throughout Mecklenburg County, providing groceries for neighbors in need. FoundryCommercial is the 2017 Tour de Turns title sponsor.
