Loaves & Fishes Programs and Services: Mobile Food Pantries, Pop Up Food Shares and Home Delivery
With so many changes brought about by the pandemic, here is a primer on new programs offered by Loaves & Fishes:
Mobile Food Pantries:
As a result of COVID-19, Loaves & Fishes has temporarily shut down our network of food pantries and switched to mobile food pantry distribution sites. Neighbors still receive a week’s worth of nutritionally balanced groceries along with fresh produce and dairy. A referral is required.
Clients are served “drive through” style, receiving an emergency food box containing a 7-day supply of non-perishable foods for each member of the household, as well as fresh produce, meat, eggs and dairy.

Pop Up Food Shares:
Thanks to the Federal “Farmers to Families Food Box” program, Loaves & Fishes is partnering with our friends at Second Harvest Food Bank to distribute excess fresh produce boxes at a series of Pop Up Food Shares. Participants pre-register to receive a box. A referral from a professional source is not required. These Pop Up Food Shares are in addition to the Mobile Pantries scheduled throughout the community.

Home Deliveries:
For neighbors receiving a referral who do not have transportation to a mobile food pantry or are home bound, Loaves & Fishes offers contactless home deliveries of a 7-day supply of groceries that includes both perishable and non-perishable nutritionally balanced groceries.
