The Virginia Sampson Award
Virginia Sampson dedicated her life to feeding the hungry people of Charlotte. Through Virginia Sampson’s leadership, Loaves & Fishes grew from one small pantry to a network of 20 pantries.
The 2018 Virginia Sampson Award will be presented April 24, 2018 at the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. The award goes to the individual making the greatest impact on hunger in our community. The recipient will be determined by the Award committee based on the following factors:
- Timeliness of concern and effort
- Duration of concern and effort
- Impact on hunger in the community
